On stage, ten performers of the company Aurora Bauzà and Pere Jou's and the Coro Teatro Principal of Palma

The Auditorio de Tenerife offers the scenic piece A beginning-expanded version by Aurora Bauzà and Pere Jou, composers, creators and performers at the forefront of the performing arts. The show, which starts in absolute darkness, will take place this Friday (2 February) at 7:30 p.m. in the Chamber Hall. The tickets for this experience of voice, light and movement are available for eight euros.

Halfway between musical composition and choreographic writing, the company proposes a scenic piece in which live singing and lights manipulated by the performers themselves are central to the construction of a dramaturgical narrative about the beginning or the restarting of the world.

Aurora Bauzà and Pere Jou research mainly on the human voice and its intricate connections with the body, movement, space, stage and light. Their compositions go beyond the traditional artistic genre boundaries, treating music as a multidimensional entity with physical, scenic, visual, dramaturgical, expressive, and poetic quality.

A beginning-expanded version is a piece for ten performers, five of them from the company – Elena Tarrats, Maider Lasa, Isaac Baró, Diana Pop and Pere Jou – and another five belonging to the Coro Teatro Principal de Palma – Julia Bermejo, Ada Ruiz Núñez, Adrián Sánchez Capellá, Carla Vázquez and Qori Amaru Yarasca Pons..

This show, created and directed by Bauzà and Jou, is a co-production of L'Auditori of Barcelona and the Centre Coreographique National d'Orleans, with the support of Graner Centre de Creació, Asociación Hèmisphère Son, Nau Estruch, Castell de Montjuïc e Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics. As its name suggests, A beginning-expanded version is the expanded version of the piece A beginning.
