Theatre schools
The Learning and Social Programme of the Auditorio de Tenerife offers theatre courses (called Escuelas de Teatro de Tenerife, ETT) that are held in collaboration with the island's municipalities. They take place in educational and cultural centres during the school year and offer theatrical training to children, youth and adults. The aim is to foster quality artistic hobbies and to contribute to the cultural development of the social environment. All teachers have a degree in performing arts from the school of performing arts of the Canary Islands (Escuela de Actores de Canarias).

MUNICIPALITIES, COURSE HOURS AND AGE GROUPS
2024-2025 ESCUELAS DE TEATRO (THEATRE SCHOOLS)
Public performing-arts workshop
The 2024-25 course focuses on learning through projects, allowing students to assimilate theatrical tactics and content more dynamically. Through the said projects, students will develop skills and abilities in a context that motivates them as a group. This year's course takes a new approach compared to past years, in which the first quarter was dedicated to drama techniques later used in an artistic performance directed by the teacher. With that approach, teachers and students assumed the roles of directors and actors, respectively.
In this year's course, drama schools shall provide students with key resources useful for all age groups and contexts, allowing students to act as creators and teachers as facilitators who guide creative processes in classrooms. This year, the goal of the drama schools is not the interpretation of an end-of-course performance but the training of students so that they may acquire skills and knowledge that may be used professionally or in everyday life. Through dramatic play, students shall transversally explore disciplines such as literature, dance, music, history and art while developing greater sensitivity to express their emotions. In this way, they will meet two critical objectives for personal development:
- Contribution to the improvement of communication in all senses, covering written, oral and corporal expression.
- Development of critical thinking.
