Given its public ownership and the essential public service it provides, AUDITORIO DE TENERIFE, S.A. has established as its core policy a firm commitment to regulatory compliance, transparency and good corporate governance. In line with the standards expected of public bodies, it operates in accordance with the principles and standards designed to safeguard, prioritise and promote the public interest. This commitment follows the approach established by the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife (Island Council), in line with the new social awareness regarding the governance of organisations in general, and public sector entities in particular.
To reinforce this commitment, the organisation’s Board of Directors has approved the AUDITORIO DE TENERIFE’s Code of Ethics and Conduct, and implemented a Crime Prevention System.
The key document is the Code of Ethics and Conduct, which formally sets out the ethical values and principles that guide the conduct of everyone within the organisation. It is based on the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife’s Code of Good Governance, and incorporates its principles and guidelines.
The implementation of the Crime Prevention System further demonstrates a firm organisational commitment to maintaining a framework for internal control and risk management. Following a risk assessment, the system promotes the control through the implementation of coherent and proportional control mechanisms to prevent those risks. In doing so, it complies with the requirements of Article 31 bis of the current Spanish Criminal Code.
Together, these measures foster a culture of ethics, integrity and regulatory compliance, while reinforcing a management model that encourages all employees to perform their duties to the highest ethical standards, always placing the public interest protected by law above private interests.
To support this framework, the AUDITORIO DE TENERIFE has established an internal reporting channel, through which individuals may confidentially report and bring to the organisation’s attention any irregularities or potential breaches of the Code of Ethics and Conduct or the Crime Prevention System.
