Her new album, featuring the Violin Concertos by Bruch and Korngold, recorded with the Bamberg Symphony and Jakub Hrůša, was released on 9 May 2025. Highlights of Bomsori's actual season include touring with the Bamberg Symphony and Jakub Hrůša in Germany and Asia, as well as her return to Carnegie Hall with the Seoul Philharmonic and Jaap van Zweden, and performances in Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic. She will also make debuts with the Paris Orchestra, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, return to the Concertgebouw as Artist in Residence with the Residentie Orkest Den Haag, and perform in Hong Kong and Beijing with Paavo Järvi and the Hong Kong Philharmonic. Recently, she made her debut appearances at the BBC Proms with the BBC Philharmonic and at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.She toured with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and Paavo Järvi, and made debut appearances with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Pittsburgh Symphony, and the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir. She also performed with the Vienna Symphony at the Konzerthaus and debuted at the Concertgebouw with the Residentie Orkest. Bomsori is a regular guest at renowned festivals including the Rheingau Musik Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, and Verbier Festival. She was appointed Focus Artist of the Rheingau Musik Festival in 2021 and started a five-year residency at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival as Menuhin’s Heritage Artist the same year.Her appearances include performances with leading orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Danish National Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Montreal Symphony She has performed under the baton of notable conductors such as Fabio Luisi, Paavo Järvi, Marin Alsop, Jakub Hrůša, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, and Jaap van Zweden. Bomsori has won awards at prestigious competitions including ARD, Tchaikovsky, Queen Elisabeth, and Jean Sibelius, and received the Korean Ministry of Culture’s Young Artist Award.Her Deutsche Grammophon discography highlights the Violin on Stage album with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, as well as an acclaimed duo album with Rafał Blechacz featuring Fauré, Debussy, Szymanowski, and Chopin, which earned the Fryderyk Best Polish Album Abroad. Her recording of the Nielsen Violin Concerto with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Fabio Luisi was awarded the 2024 Gramophone Award. Bomsori Kim, born in South Korea, studied with Young Uck Kim at Seoul National University and with Sylvia Rosenberg and Ronald Copes at The Juilliard School.
