The three wind ensembles will perform in the Auditorio de Tenerife during the Primavera Musical cycle.

On Sunday, May 18, the wind bands Virgen de la Luz (Guía de Isora), Ernesto Beteta (Santa Úrsula) and Aída (San Andrés, Santa Cruz) feature a concert in the Chamber Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and is part of the Primavera Musical cycle, promoted by the wind bands federation ‘Federación Tinerfeña de Bandas de Música’ with the support of the Tenerife Island Council.

Agrupación Musical Virgen de la Luz will be the first concert band to take the stage with conductor Antonio Fariña Díaz and offer the following repertoire: Ateneo Musical by Mariano Puig, Diagram by Andre Waignem, and It don’t mean a thing by Ellington-Ravenal.

The band Asociación Músico-Cultural Ernesto Beteta from Santa Úrsula has more than 30 years of experience in stage venues. Conducted by Miguel Ángel Expósito Marrero, it will play the following programme at the Auditorio de Tenerife: Echeyde, by José Luis Peiró Reig; Puszta (Four Gipsydances), by Jan Vaan der Roost, and Mambo Jambo, by Naohiro Iwai.

This Sunday’s concert participation closes with the wind band Unión Musical Aída, from the San Andrés neighbourhood. Created in 1981, more than 30 musicians comprise this ensemble, which will be directed by Juan Alexis González Rodríguez. During this new performance in the Auditorio de Tenerife, they will play three songs by Ferrer Ferran: Concha Manzano, Burbujas del sentido, and Lepe.

The tenth session of the Primavera Musical takes place on May 25 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chamber Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife with the concert bands La Candelaria (Arafo), Nueva Unión (Los Silos) and Crearte (Tejina, La Laguna).
