Audacious, innovative, and adventurous, the Geneva Camerata is composed of the most brilliant and creative soloists of the young generation. Praised by the press as one the world’s most captivating and unique ensembles, GECA performs music of all periods and styles, from baroque to contemporary, electronic, jazz, rock, and world music. In addition, the Geneva Camerata creates eclectic multidisciplinary projects, bringing together music, dance, theatre, and visual arts.

Recently, GECA has created several groundbreaking multidisciplinary shows, such as The Symphony of the Mirage with stage director Yoann Bourgeois, and Dance of the Sun with dancer and choreographer Juan Kruz Díaz de Garaio Esnaola – a project that was named by The New York Times as “one of the year’s best performances in the world of classical music”. In addition, the orchestra has collaborated with today’s most celebrated artists, such as Emmanuel Pahud, Gautier Capuçon, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Nemanja Radulović, Avi Avital, Thomas Hampson, Patricia Petibon, Richard Galliano, Tigran Hamasyan, Buika, Isabelle Adjani, and Sophie Marceau.

Every season, the Geneva Camerata embarks on several international tours and performs in the world’s most prestigious festivals and concert halls, such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Kings Place in London, Montreux Jazz Festival, Istanbul Music Festival, Seoul Arts Center, Musashino Concert Hall in Tokyo, NCPA in Beijing, Oriental Art Center in Shanghai, CENART in Mexico, Teatro Mayor in Bogóta, and 92Y in New York.

Hailed by the press, the orchestra’s debut album, “Sounds of Transformation” was recently released by Sony Classical. This new disc, recorded with jazz pianist Yaron Herman, presents a fascinating journey between the worlds of classical and jazz.
