Olesya Petrova was born in Saint Petersburg and graduated from the State Conservatory Rimski-Kórsakov in 2008 after taking classes with Irina Bogacheva.
Among her recent and future projects is Amneris at the ROH London, the MET and Arena di Verona, Jezibaba at the Opera of Wallonia, Ulrica and Azucena also at the MET, among others.
