Ana Liz Ojeda studied violin with Patricio Cobos (Columbus University, USA) and Marco Rizzi (Hochschule für Musik Detmold, Germany), and continued her training in early music - baroque violin with Ryo Terakado (Royal Conservatory of The Hague, The Netherlands) and with Stefano Montanari (Scuola Civica di Musica, Milan, Italy).
She has received masterclasses from András Schiff, Kathleen Winkler, Philippe Herreweghe, David Kim, Simon Standage, Giannis Vatikiotis, Helge Slatto, Gottfried von der Goltz and Enrico Gatti.
From 2005 to 2007 she was the second violin soloist in the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan, conducted by Riccardo Chailly. Subsequently, following a recommendation by Stefano Montanari, she has been a member of Accademia Bizantina, led by Ottavio Dantone. She currently performs as the second violin soloist in this group.
With this prestigious ensemble, she has an intense schedule of concerts that has led her to perform in halls such as the Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center (New York), Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts (Kingston), Four Season Center of the Performing Arts (Toronto), Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), Teatro Real (Madrid), Wigmore Hall and Barbican Centre (London), Théâtre des Champs-Élysées (Paris), Opéra Royal (Versailles), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Berliner Philharmonie, Kölner Philharmonie, Theater an der Wien, the National Theatre in Prague, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, the Hong Kong City Hall, the Philharmonic Theatre in Kyiv, the Esplanade Theatre (Singapore), the Royal Opera in Muscat (Oman), the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, the Auditorium "Parco della Musica" in Rome and the Municipal Theatre in Santiago de Chile.
Ana Liz is a regular guest in different early music groups in Europe such as La Risonanza, I Barocchisti, the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, L'Onda Armonica, Atalanta Fugiens, Il Complesso Barocco, Il Pomo d'Oro and Göttinger Haendel - Festspielorchester.
Her solo discography includes J.S. Bach's "The Art of Fugue", “Concerti Grossi” by Handel (Decca), Concertos for strings by Vivaldi (Naïve), “Bach Concertos" with Viktoria Mullova (Onyx), "Vivaldi con moto" with Giuliano Carmignola (Archiv) and "Gli strali d'amore" by André Campra with La Risonanza and Fabio Bonizzoni (Glossa).
Along with her ensemble Il Tetraone she has recorded the “The Trout” quintet by Schubert with original instruments for the label Decca, Beethoven's Quartet for Piano and Strings Op. 16 and the quartets with piano KV 478 and KV 493 by W.A. Mozart.
Within the educational sphere, Ana Liz is regularly invited to give masterclasses and participate in musical projects in Chile. In 2019 she was a guest teacher at the “Lugano Musica” Music Festival in Lugano (Switzerland) and she works as a violin teacher at the University of Talca (Chile).
