Arturo Barba is intensely active as a concert organist. He gives recitals at emblematic organ festivals such as those of the Catholic Cathedral of Moscow, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Cologne Cathedral, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome, the Festival of Historical Organs in Venice, Cali Cathedral and Lausanne Cathedral. He also participates in important organ cycles in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Holland, France, Russia, Switzerland, Colombia and Italy. He has played recitals on numerous historic European organs (Schnitger, Silbermann, Callido, Nacchini, Cavaillé-Coll, Merklin, Bosch, Echevarría, etc.), transferring the experience he has acquired on these valuable historic instruments to his interpretations.

He has collaborated for over ten years with the Orquesta de Valencia and the Orquesta del Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía, Valencia. During this time, he has performed almost all the symphonic organ repertoire with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Fabio Biondi, Michel Plasson, Cristóbal Halffter, James Gaffigan, Josep Pons, Ramón Tebar, Plácido Domingo, Gustavo Gimeno, N. Luisotti, L. Yu, E. García Asensio, Y. Traub, J. Belohlavek, G. Pehlivanianian, H. Nánási, Ch. Luisotti, L. Yu, E. García Asensio, Y. Traub, J. Belohlavek, G. Pehlivanian, H. Nánási, Ch. Franklin, M. A. Gómez-Martínez, among others. Arturo Barba has carried out live recordings for Spain's national public radio service RNE-Radio Clásica, and several recordings as a soloist. Noteworthy is "Bach y su tiempo en el órgano del Palau" (Bach and his time played at the Palau's organ, that is, the Grenzing organ of the Palau de la Música in Valencia) and "Europa suena desde el corazón de Castilla" (Europe sounds from the heart of Castile, played at the historic organ of Elche de la Sierra). The musician shows great interest in promoting organ music. In this sense, he is the artistic director of different international organ festivals in the region of Valencia.

He was born in Valencia and studied organ and piano at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia (CSMV). He then completed the organ speciality with honours and unanimously obtained the Extraordinary End of Degree Prize under the direction of Professor V. Ros. He later extended his studies in Madrid. He has taken part in numerous international courses. Likewise, he has worked with T. Koopman, J. Laukvik, L. van Doesselaar and E. Kooiman (Bach); L. F. Tagliavini, R. Alessandrini (Italian music); M. Bouvard and O. Latry (French music); M. Torrent (Iberian music); L. Chiantore, J. Achúcarro, D. Bashkirov, J. Colom and K. & M. Labèque (piano).

Arturo Barba holds a PhD cum laude from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), where he also holds a degree in Architecture. Furthermore, he became a professor of the Conservatory by competitive examination. In addition, he has taught at the degree and master's level at the CSMV and at the UPV for more than ten years; and has also taught at the Professional Conservatories of Valencia and Torrent. His appointment as a member of the body of professors has recently been published in the BOE (Official State Gazette).
