His 2015 recording Infinito Presente topped the list of best-selling hits, and now he is preparing the release of the new album Camané canta Marceneiro. Camané appears here in a timeless recording; a deserved tribute to one of his greatest inspirations.
In August 2017, the Tenco Award was bestowed on Camané, in addition to the Italian artists Vinicio Campossela and Massimo Ranieri.
In 2019, Camané undertook a new challenge with his friend, the acclaimed Portuguese pianist Mário Laginha: the project Aqui está-se sossegado is built from the ground up to accommodate a voice and a piano that have allied ever since their first encounter. The connection and symbiosis of the two artists resulted in the album Aqui está-se sossegado. The recording was a hit, becoming very popular in Portugal and topping the domestic charts. The success led to a string of well-received concerts throughout Portugal, concluding in 2019 with a memorable performance at the Coliseu dos Recreios auditorium. In recognition of their achievements that year and the critical acclaim of the album, the duo won the Play Awards in the categories of best album and best fado album.
Camané, rather than obsessing over the past or his achievements, always believes that the best is yet to come, and is currently preparing a new recording.
