The Chicago Mass Choir, founded in 1988 by James C. Chambers, has moved audiences all over the world with the beauty of their voices, the contagious energy of their rhythm, and their emotional songs of hope.
The albums of Chicago Mass Choir have made it onto the Billboard gospel hit charts at least sixteen times. They have collaborated with a wide variety of artists on major productions such as Bob Dylan in Gotta Serve Somebody, Umphrey´s Mc Gee, Onirama, Dr. Bobby Jones Show, and the musicals Three Mo Tenors and The Colored Purple. They annually collaborate with the Chicago Gospel Festival and regularly perform in the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans, as well as in the Staple Centre in Los Angeles.
They have regularly toured Europe since 2003 in Switzerland, Croatia, Italy, Greece, and Germany. In December 2011 they embarked on their first Spanish tour and presented the programme “Singing Gospel Christmas in 2013. Their last Spanish tour was in 2018. In 2017 they were once again distinguished with the most prestigious Gospel prize: the Stellar Award for Best Choir of the Year.
