The young guitarist and composer Christian Cabrera (1997), from La Palma, will offer us Ethereal Vibes, a composition arranged for a quintet that seeks to break free of dogmas by uniting urban sounds with an avant-garde approach. Catchy melodies, mixed-meter passages, jazz improvisations, breakbeat, rap and other elements come together in Cabrera’s first project as a composer.
His personal style draws on jazz artists from the 1960s, such as Shorter and Trane, and contemporary avant-garde influences, such as Tigran Hamasyan, Rafiq Bathia, Hiatus Kayote and Nirban.
