Esteban Landart

ORGANIST

Born in Irún, Spain, he studied Piano and Organ in San Sebastián and Bayonne (France). 

At the CNSM in Lyon, he studied with Jean BOYER, and got a National Diploma in Higher Musical Studies in the Organ discipline, being awarded a Très Bien à l’Unanimité du Jury. He later obtained the French Republic teaching certificate (C.A.) to teach organ.

He has published numerous studies and articles in French and Spanish publications on topics related to pedagogy, organ building, organ performing and musical analysis.

He combines his teaching activities with a busy career as a concert organist in Europe and the US in addition to performing at relevant music festivals. He is currently coordinator of the Technical Committee for the Preservation and Restoration of Organs and Harmoniums of the Diocese of San Sebastián. 

His repertoire includes all the styles and periods ranging from the Codex Faenza to Schönberg’s Variation, from Cabezón to Radulescu, including Romantic or symphonic composers. His predilection depends on the instruments.

At present he teaches Organ at the C.R.R. in Bayonne (France) and at the Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco MUSIKENE
