A musicologist and multi-instrumentalist from Tacoronte, he has had close ties to folklore from an early age, learning the skills and ways of his parents and people. Later, he studied Musicology at the CSMC, where he learned to research techniques and embraced folklore from the perspective of musical anthropology.
He has been part of projects linked, to a greater or lesser extent, to tradition such as Jóvenes Cantadores, Quimbao la nuit or G.F. Los Majuelos; he has been the director of groups such as G.M. Amazigh, A.F. Raices, A.F. Tonique., G.M Trigales, Parranda La Vendimia, A.F. Alborada Canaria, San Juanito or Los Majuelos; he has produced a wide variety of albums and collaborations with a multitude of instruments; he has performed with symphony orchestras such as the OST and the JOBS in Zaragoza; he received training in medieval music in the International Course on Medieval Music Performance of Besalú; and he has participated in radio and television programmes such as Tenderete, La Bodega de Julián, Noche de Taifas, Aromas, Parrandiando, Canta Canarias and Parranda Canaria.
This multi-instrumentalist plays Canarian folklore instruments and instruments from the rest of the world and has amassed one of the largest organology collections on the archipelago. Also, he plays early academic music instruments such as the Renaissance lute and the medieval citole. With curiosity as his creed, he contributes his versatility and experience to the different projects in which he is involved.
