Greg Ellis is recognized as one of the more innovative and versatile drummers in the world. He has performed and recorded with musical artists from over 30 countries including Mickey Hart, Zakir Hussain, KODO, Juno Reactor, Two Steps From Hell and many more.
Shifting between drum kit and his unique collection of hand percussion his drumming can be heard on more than 200 film, television and video game scores, including The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, 300, Argo, Iron Man, Body of Lies, Transformers: Age of Extinction, God of War: Ragnarök, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 4, Guardians of the Galaxy and many more. He has also composed numerous scores for international documentary film and television projects including Chasing Niagara, Letter to Baikal, and The Road to Fallujah.
As a passionate advocate for the healing and therapeutic aspects of organic sound and rhythm, Ellis created a project called RhythmPharm which utilizes rhythm in various therapeutic modalities. He has presented lectures and events on the topic at various conferences and institutions including Tedx, The Woolf Institute in Cambridge, UCLA, Rutgers University, The Quantum Life University in Hyderabad and others.
