Jeremías Martín is a musician from Tenerife who trained as a pianist, arranger, composer and teacher. Over the last 25 years, his refined technique with the accordion has made him a sought-after collaborator in groups of renowned prestige such as the Parranda de Cantadores, which he has been part of since it was founded, as well as with soloists such as Benito Cabrera, José Manuel Ramos, Alba Pérez, Arístides Moreno, Beselch Rodríguez and Claudia Álamo, Pedro Izquiero, Isabel González, Coyote Dax, Sergio Núñez, José Vélez, Tamara, JP Manzanero … or groups such as Añate, Jeita, Atlantes, Mestisa, Sabandeños and Pieles, among others.

He did composition and arrangement work for the show “Harmonices Mundi”, an astrophysical-music show with an informative script on astrophysical matters aimed at children’s and youth audiences which premièred in April 2005 at the Auditorio de Tenerife. He has collaborated in several recordings with different artists and he has played all over Spain and countries such as the United States (Texas, New Orleans and Miami), Venezuela, Argentina, England, Portugal, Italy and Japan. As for his latest projects, it is worth highlighting his participation - as an accordion player - in the soundtrack of the films “Oscar, una pasión surrealista” (Oscar. The colour of destiny) by the film-maker Lucas Fernández, and “El vuelo del guirre” (The Flight of the Vulture) of the Río Brothers -as an accordionist and pianist-. Participation in the 1st, 3rd, 9th and 11th edition of the International Film Music Festival “Fimucité” in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and at the 12th edition of the International Accordion Festival of San Antonio of Texas.

In 2010 he presented his first solo album project where he aims to promote, recover and disseminate Canarian music through an instrument like the Accordion for traditional music and to have this instrument back in the place that it deserves in the groups of the islands. Since 2008 he has been a member of the general society of authors and editors, and since then he has registered several compositions.

In 2011 he presented his first book with the ISBN registration 978-84-615-4137-9 under the title of “Antología del folklore canario. En partituras para acordeón” (Anthology of Canarian folklore. On sheet music for accordion) with the aim of filling an enormous void in writing for accordion in the Canaries, to contribute to the task of recovering Canarian music for this instrument.

He has musically directed and continues to direct several events such as the Tribute to Mari Carmen Mulet, with the soloists Cristina Farrais, Blanca Casañas, Chago Melián, Luisa Machado, Esther Ovejero, Chiqui Pérez, Mari Carmen González, Musical direction of The Offering to the Patron Saint of the Canaries, with several artists and broadcast around all the Canaries on Spanish Television (TVE), among other important events.

He currently teaches accordion and piano classes at different schools and academies on the island of Tenerife, and he is the musical director of several groups such as “Jeita”, “A tres fuelles”, “Sergio Núñez”, “Isabel González”, “Josefina Alemán. He is also a member of the company Piles with the shows “Canto al trabajo” (Ode to Work) “Ángaro” (Signal Fire) and “PIELconPIEL” (SKIN-to-SKIN), among others... He produces musical arrangements for different groups, as well as music for television advertisements and documentaries.
