She was born in Bulgari and holds a degree in violin, singing, and pedagogy from the Plovdiv Conservatory. After her début in the Sofia Opera House (1995), she joined the Wiener Staatsoper in 1998. From that moment on she started her international career in the most important opera theatres, like the Metropolitan of New York, the Paris Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, the Scala in Milan, the Opernhaus in Zurich, the Semperoper of Dresden, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Staatsoper of Hamburg, the Deutsche Oper of Berlin, Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She has collaborated with the most renowned directors, such as Barenboim, Chailly, Chung, Fedoseev, Gatti, Haitink, Honeck, Jansons, Luisi, Levine, Mehta, Muti, Colin Davis, Ozawa, Prêtre, Temirkanov, Thielemann, Welser-Möst. Her broad repertoire covers bel canto, the great heroines of Verdi and Puccini, the French operas, the Strauss operas, and the Slavic repertoire. During the Salzburg Festival, she played Antonia (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Marescialla (Der Rosenkavalier), Danae (Die Liebe der Danae), and sang in concerts under the baton of Muti, Jansons and Mehta. In addition to her recitals in the main European and American halls, she has also carried out an intense concert activity with works by Beethoven, Verdi, Rossini, Dvořák, Strauss, and Janáček. She made her début at the Rome Opera in 2009 with Iphigenia in Aulide under the direction of Muti. During the pandemic she sang the concert for the victims of coronavirus in Milan, Bergamo, and Brescia, the Ninth Symphony of Beethoven at La Scala, Desdemona (Otello) in Barcelona, Messa da Requiem and Un ballo in Maschera in Florence, Messa da Requiem in the Circo Massimo and during the Ljubljana Festival, Aida in Munich, Germany, Ariadne auf Naxos in Milan and Florence, and a recital at the Staatsoper of Vienna.
