Lucía Trentini

ACTRESS AND SINGER

Trentini is a Uruguayan actress, director, playwright, and singer. She has premiered ten shows that were organised under her direction at different festivals in Latin America and Europe. She holds a Master's in Theatrical Creation from the Carlos III University of Madrid (directed by Juan Mayorga) and graduated from the Montevideo School of Dramatic Art, training there in dramaturgy and composition. She is a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab de Nueva York and the 'PDE' Stage Direction Project promoted by the Teatro a Mil Foundation (Chile), the Goethe Institute (Germany) and the National Institute of Performing Arts (Uruguay).

Lucía Trentini is a recipient of the FEFCA training scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. Having won a National Theatre Award in Uruguay, she carries out most of her stage work in Madrid, appearing in projects at the National Drama Centre, Canal Theatre, Conde Duque and Circo Price Theatre and contributing to Madrid's small theatre scene. Her most recent work includes acting as an actress and composer at the Finnish National Theatre. She has composed numerous soundtracks for theatre and audiovisual productions. She is involved as a singer and performer in ELEKTROFOLCLÒRICA, an experimental project that fuses Latin American folklore and electronic music.
