Luis Fernando Pérez

piano

“Every note is a word. You have to imagine and find within yourself what it is that you want to say and do”. With these words devoted to the work of Chopin, Luis Fernando confirms the maturity that the Franz Liszt-Italy, Enrique Granados de Barcelona (Award Alicia de Larrocha) and Albéniz Medal awards had predicted for him.

Throughout his career he has been conducted by José Ramón Encinar, Antoni Ros Marbá, Günther Neuhold, Wilson Hernanto, Kazuki Yamada, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Peter Fraas, David Lockington, Alexis Soriano, Enrique García Asensio and Carlo Rizzi. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the Galicia Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Asturias Symphony Orchestra OSPA, the Basque National Orchestra, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra BOS, the Orchestra of the Spanish radio RTVE, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Kanazawa Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestras of Budapest and Mannheim.

Considered one of the greatest experts in the Spanish repertoire, his recordings released by the label Mirare devoted to Chopin, Solin, Granados and Falla (Diapason d'Or and Shock of the Year by the magazine Clásica) have led French critics to single him out as a prominent figure of the Spanish musical renaissance. His last album project for the Mirare label was fully devoted to Rachmaninov.
