Rodrigo Leão

‘Portuguese artist Rodrigo Leão is a highly gifted musician and arranger, famous for making the smallest melodies sound enormous and important’. ─Brigitte Magazine (Germany) Rodrigo Leão was among the musicians and composers of the extraordinarily successful Portuguese ensemble Madredeus, of which he was a member for nearly 10 years before embarking on a solo career. However, Madredeus was just one of many stops on an incredible 30-year journey in which Rodrigo Leão has invited world-renowned singers such as Beth Gibbons of Portishead, Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy and Stuart Staples of Tindersticks to collaborate on his albums and in his live shows. He has performed with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Ludovico Einaudi, with whom he toured Portugal, Spain and Italy.
