Sergei Dogadin has achieved international fame, consolidating himself as one of the best violinists of his generation. First Prize and Gold Medal at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (2019), First Prize at the IX Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Hannover (2015) and First Prize at the Singapore International Violin Competition (2018).
Since his debut in 2002 at the Grand Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic guided by Vasily Petrenko, Dogadin's violin mastery has graced prestigious venues worldwide such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Musikverein, Royal Concertgebouw Hall, Cologne Philharmonic, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Tonhalle in Zurich, Berwaldhallen in Stockholm, among others.
Recent and anticipated highlights as a soloist include engagements with renowned orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Symphony, Royal Concertgebouw, Munich Philharmonic, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Budapest Symphony, Shanghai Symphony, Taiwan Philharmonic, Singapore Symphony, Western Australian Symphony, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, and St. Petersburg Philharmonic.
Sergei has collaborated with prominent musicians such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Thomas Sanderling, Vasily Petrenko, Vasily Sinaisky, Vladimir Spivakov, Klaus Mäkelä, Andrew Manze, Anu Tali, and Michał Nesterowicz, among others.
He studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music, the Musikhochschule in Cologne, the University of Music in Graz and with Prof. Boris Kuschnir at the University of Music and Arts in Vienna.
Since 2022, he has been a professor at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (Madrid, Spain).
