Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she studied music at the conservatory of her home town and at the Municipal Music Conservatory of Barcelona, where she specialised with the Polish baritone Jerzy Artyz. After her debut on the stage of the Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari as Musetta (La bohème, Puccini), she appeared as Gilda (Rigoletto, Verdi) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and as Violetta (La traviata, Verdi) in the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. In the following years she has enriched her repertoire with different roles, from bel canto to verismo, highlighting some of the roles in her extensive career: Vitellia (La clemenza di Tito, Mozart); Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte, Mozart); Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart); Donna Anna and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni, Mozart). Also, Adina (L'elisir d'amore, Donizetti); Fiorilla (Il turco in Italia, Rossini); Mathilde (Guillaume Tell, Rossini); Gulietta (I Capuleti ei Montecchi, Bellini); Liù (Turandot, Puccini); Micaela (Carmen, Bizet) and Mimì (La bohème, Puccini). In addition, the main roles are played by Anna Bolena (Donizetti), Maria Stuarda (Donizetti) and Norma (Bellini); Leonora (Il trovatore, Verdi); Desdemona (Otello, Verdi) and Elisabetta di Valois (Don Carlo, Verdi). Recent engagements include Norma (Bellini); Robert le diable (Mayerbeer); Turandot (Puccini); Il trovatore (Verdi) and his debut in the role of Amilia (Simon Boccanegra, Verdi). His extensive career has evolved in the main Italian theatres such as the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Massimo di Palermo and the Arena di Verona. In addition to the national theatres and main European stages in Vienna, Nice, Geneva, Berlin or Frankfurt. This has allowed him to work with conductors of the calibre of Zubin Mehta, Michele Mariotti, Alberto Zedda, Evelino Pidò, Bruno Bartoletti, Alan Curtis, Nicola Luisotti and Christopher Franklin; or with conductors such as Franco Zeffirelli, Robert Wilson, Daniele Abbado and Damiano Michieletto, among others.
