The French cellist, who leads the group, will unveil his latest album, ‘Voices’, this Saturday.

The Auditorio de Tenerife continues its jazz series this Saturday, 10 May at 7.30 p.m., with a concert by the Matthieu Saglio Quartet. The ensemble will showcase selections from their latest album, Voices. Under the direction of French cellist Matthieu Saglio, whose name the group bears, the quartet once again demonstrates his signature approach-seamlessly weaving together jazz, classical, flamenco, and world music influences.

The French cellist will take to the stage of the Chamber Hall alongside his quartet: Christian Belhomme (keyboard and piano), Léo Ullmann (violin), David Gadea (percussion), and Camille Saglio (voice). This concert comes on the heels of his highly acclaimed previous album, El camino de los vientos (ACT, April 2020), which garnered international praise and over eight million streams on Spotify.

With his new release, Voices, Matthieu Saglio aims to honour the voices of the world-men and women of all ages and languages, regarding ‘the human voice as the very essence of humanity: something that sets each individual apart, yet also brings people together and unites them’.

The tickets can be purchased at a single price of €15 and €5 for under 30s on the website www.auditoriodetenerife.com, at the auditorium’s box office, or by dialling the phone number 902 317 327 from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are discounts for students, unemployed and large families.
