Juan Ceacero directs this Fernando Delgado-Hierro play, which has completely sold out for all three dates.

Auditorio de Tenerife presents in its La Salita hall the show Las apariciones, directed by Juan Ceacero. The performances in this theatre-dedicated space will take place on Friday (February 6) and Saturday (February 7) at 7.30 p.m., and on Sunday (February 8) at 12 noon. This humorous play explores the lives of two childhood friends who differ greatly but share a common background.

La_Compañía exlímite presents Las apariciones with Centro Dramático Nacional. Directed by Juan Ceacero and written by Fernando Delgado-Hierro, who stars with Pablo Chaves, the play gives voice to maturity from a future perspective.

Las apariciones is a non-linear autofiction set in the future that explores what lies ahead and how the performers embody it on stage. The story follows two childhood friends, Fernando and Pablo, who grew up together in the same neighbourhood and now reunite in midlife and reflect on their futures. They question whether they can break free from familiar cycles, whether their daughter will remind them of their mother, and whether their ageing bodies will mirror their grandparents’ expressions. The work considers the similarities between generations, like branches and roots.

This production explores the journey from our origins to our destination, moving from one neighbourhood to another. Along the way, it examines the questions, fears, and desires that arise as we confront our inevitable fate. We are going to die, so death is central to the show. However, this staging presents highly comic scenes that make the public ponder the profound depths of the human soul.

Upcoming La Salita performances available for tickets include: Take off [Nada de esto tuvo que haber ocurrido], written by Tenerife-born playwright Jose Padilla, offers seven performances from 6 to 15 March; and Hoy tengo algo que hacer, a Teatro del Barrio production directed by Pablo Rosal and starring Luis Bermejo, runs from 27 to 29 March.
