This Tuesday’s concert in the Chamber Hall showcases works by Brahms, Czerny, Liszt, Debussy and Stravinsky.
The Auditorio de Tenerife is showing a concert by the Uzbekistan pianist Behzod Abduraimov on Tuesday, October 21 at 7.30 p.m., in the Chamber Hall. The programme is part of the Chamber Music Cycle, and includes works by Johannes Brahms, Carl Czerny, Franz Liszt, Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky.
Behzod Abduraimov blends profound musicianship with exceptional technical skill and refined sensitivity. The recital begins with Brahms’s Four Piano Pieces (1833–1897), continues with Czerny’s La Ricordanza, and closes the first half with Liszt’s Après une Lecture du Dante (Fantasia quasi-Sonata). Following a 20-minute intermission, the musician will resume at the piano with Debussy’s Suite bergamasque, bringing the evening to a close with three movements from Stravinsky’s Petrushka.
Abduraimov performs with many of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors, and his recordings have established a new standard in pianistic excellence. In the 2025–2026 season, he debuts with the New York Philharmonic and the National Symphony Orchestra (Washington, D.C.), both conducted by Gianandrea Noseda. He has appeared with major orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Abduraimov collaborates regularly with leading conductors such as Semyon Bychkov, Constantinos Carydis, Gustavo Dudamel, Edward Gardner, Gustavo Gimeno, Jakub Hrůša, Stanislav Kochanovsky and Vasily Petrenko.
Behzod is currently working for the label Alpha Classics, recordings which have earned international accolades, including the Choc de Classica and Diapason Découverte. At the age of nine, he won his first international prize, taking First Prize at the London International Piano Competition with Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Currently, he serves as Artist-in-Residence at the International Centre for Music at Park University in the United States.
