NEW YEAR’S CONCERT
Synopsis
The Joven Orquesta de Canarias (JOCAN – Youth Orchestra of the Canary Islands) stages its annual New Year’s Concert for the 2026 festivities.
The JOCAN project was launched in 2016 by the Government of the Canary Islands as a means of training and practising orchestral music for young musicians from the islands. The project consists of organizing ‘Encuentros’ (Gatherings) several times a year, where orchestra members come together and prepare a diverse range of repertoire to be performed on tours. The gatherings are led by a select group of teachers and maestros, and the musicians can work with renowned international soloists.
