Emoción y belleza en diálogo
Synopsis
As part of its Chamber Music Cycle, Auditorio de Tenerife has scheduled the concert Emoción y belleza en diálogo, performed by the ensemble Sonido Extremo and baritone Toni Marsol.
The concert brings two forms of understanding musical expression into proximity and dialogue. The first is deeply rooted in Austrian tradition: Although the careers of Franz Schreker and Alban Berg were very different, both developed the new form of exploration of the human soul that appeared in the first half of the 20th century with a language that was at once new and familiar, revolutionary and conventional; emotional and psychological. In musical dialogue with them, we shall hear Ravel and Fontcuberta, composers steeped in French tradition and in whose works timbre, poetry, the beauty of the moment and refined elegance create a musical language that masterfully accompanies the poetry of Paul Morand and Albert Giraud. Two traditions engaged in dialogue in a concert that may be compared to that of the Auditorio’s preceding season performed by Sonido Extremo, at which we heard Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire.
