La Dramática Errante

La DRAMÁTICA ERRANTE is the name chosen by Ane Pikaza and María Goiricelaya for their artistic project. La Dramática Errante is a contemporary initiative focused on feminism and social commitment. It is renowned nationwide for its contributions to the creation of modern theatrical works from the Basque Country. The project is noted for innovative works that embrace a critical commitment to societal concerns. It paves the way towards the internationalisation of both creative undertakings. The project also emerges as a clear example of international co-creation that upholds and enriches the main objectives of this theatrical troupe: 

• Addressing transcendental subjects that promote theatre as an art form capable of fostering reflection and improving society.
• They write their own scripts to help generate new theatrical works in Basque theatre.
• They conduct research while creating their works.
• Exploring new poetic forms that use theatre as a way to express ideas.
• They develop approaches to work that encourage research and foster a free, horizontal, creative atmosphere.

In this way, the collaboration between the two entities provides a clear context for the production and distribution of this work. The premiere is slated for late August in Montevideo, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the riot. A tour is planned for the months following the premiere.
