Numacircuit
Synopsis
On Saturday 23 May, Auditorio de Tenerife will host two events from NUMAcircuit 026 – Festival of Creation and Experimentation of the Canary Islands: the Atender residency, with a public showcase taking place at 17.30 pm in the Puerto Hall (free admission), and live performances by RRUCCULLA and Kelly Moran in the Chamber Hall, separated by a short interval. It is possible to attend events in both venues.
RRUCCULLA is the experimental electronic music project of multidisciplinary artist, composer, and percussionist Izaskun González, based in Barakaldo. Her work is characterised by absolute creative freedom, creating immersive experiences with soundscapes, hyper-realistic textures, and a bold sonic aesthetic.
Kelly Moran is a New York-based pianist and producer who explores the experimental possibilities of the piano. She has collaborated with artists such as FKA twigs, Yves Tumour, Kelsey Lu, Oneohtrix Point Never, and The Avalanches. In her work, she combines extended techniques—such as prepared piano and improvisation—with technological pianos like the Yamaha Disklavier, crafting compositions rich in texture within the realms of contemporary and experimental music.
About the Residency
Artists Élida Dorta and Román Brito are leading this year’s festival artist-in-residence programme with their project Atender. They will present it to the public as a performance on Saturday, 23rd at 17.30 pm in the Puerto Hall, with access via the Auditorio’s car park. Admission is free, subject to availability.
Atender is an artistic research project within The Power of the End (launched in 2022) that explores endings, life cycles, and processes of transformation. It uses personal archives, texts, images, and performative practices to create opportunities for reflection on attention, memory, and the experience of limits. The project is informed by motherhood and yoga as ways of listening and cultivating bodily presence.
Through listening sessions, dialogue, writing, and performative exploration, Atender examines the relationship between care, vulnerability, and finitude. It creates a public space that combines physical practice, performative reading, and audience conversation.
