The singer has been working at the Auditorio de Tenerife to create a new track with her producer La Diega

The Auditorio de Tenerife presents the public showcase of Samantha Hudson’s artistic residency this Sunday (10 May) at 6 p.m. at La Salita, where the artist has been working since yesterday (5 May). Admission is free, subject to capacity, with free tickets (one per person) available from 5 p.m. on the same day.

Samantha Hudson’s artistic practice – encompassing singing, composition, production, writing, and acting – spans music, performance and identity construction, exploring the boundary between character and person through both intimate and provocative means. During this residency, she will develop a new track with her producer, La Diega, treating the song as a space where sound, body, and image converge into a distinctive narrative.

Her incisive, avant‑garde artistic stance, together with a musical trajectory that challenges the boundaries of gender and freedom of expression and finds its strength in her striking live performances, has made her a prominent figure on the contemporary scene. Samantha has received numerous international awards, including the MTV EMA 2023 for Best Spanish Artist, the Ídolo Award for Best Digital Content Creator, and the Rainbow Award from Spain’s Ministry of Equality for her commitment to the LGBT community. She is currently touring to support her third album, Música para Muñecas.

These residencies for emerging, performance-focused artists are part of La Salita’s season, in partnership with the Laboratory of Live Arts and Citizenship of the Canary Islands (LAV-C), directed by cultural manager Beatriz Bello and artist Darío Bardam.

The Auditorio de Tenerife supports artist development, new works, and artistic processes. Since La Salita’s launch last season, it has hosted residencies and theatrical labs that explore various dramaturgical approaches.
