Synopsis
Tchaikovsky described the opening of his Fourth Symphony as the voice of fate: an initial force that imposes itself, interrupts life and confronts us with what cannot easily be overcome. The work moves through inner turmoil, lyricism, dance and finally a conclusion that seems to find release in collective celebration.
The evening opens with Glinka’s overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila, a dazzling burst of theatrical energy and orchestral brilliance. Between these works, the Sinfónica de Tenerife presents a new concerto for accordion and orchestra by Fazıl Say, with Ksenija Sidorova, one of the instrument’s leading international advocates. Her artistry introduces a distinctive sound world—flexible, richly coloured and deeply expressive.
Delyana Lazarova, Artistic Collaborator of the Sinfónica de Tenerife, conducts a programme shaped by intensity, risk and the enduring tension between freedom and inevitability.

Pre-concert talk
The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra will offer a pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m. in the Sala Avenida (in the auditorium lobby) by Sergio Rodríguez, from the Tenerife Association of Friends of Music (ATADEM). Admission is free until capacity is reached.
Tickets
Access to the hall is not permitted once the doors are closed for the event to begin.
Access is only allowed to those over five years of age.
