Polifônica

Since 2015, Polifônica has been dedicated to an aesthetic and thematic research practice centered on the concepts of Scenic Polyphony and Counter-Scenes to the Anthropocene. Together, these notions seek to encourage the experimentation of different artistic approaches and responses to the Anthropocapitalocene—that is, to the ecological, social, and political disturbances generated by anthropocentric, colonialist, capitalist, and neoliberal ideological structures.
Developed by Polifônica through a study of the theoretical and practical work of Heiner Goebbels, the concept of Scenic Polyphony aims to establish a horizontal, decentralized, and collaborative relationship among different elements, languages, and art forms within the creation of theatrical works.
