The 34th Canaries International Music Festival starts on 11 January in Fuerteventura to then go on to Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

Karel Mark Chichon se estrena en el Festival como nuevo director de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria featuring Pinchas Zukerman as soloist, performing Bela Bartók’s Viola Concerto plus works by Hindemith, Strauss plus the premiere of the commissioned composition Campos del Sur for orchestra.
