Two works that challenged preconceived notions and changed the course of music, along with a world premiere. Debussy’s The Sea transforms orchestras into oceans full of colours and transparencies, revealing to spectators a new world of free and sensual sounds. Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring takes that revolutionary work a step further. Its rhythmic brutality, primitive violence and relentless energy marked a turning point in the perception of orchestral music.
Complementing these musical milestones is the premiere of a new work by composer Ferran Cruixent, who carries the visionary spirit of his predecessors into the 21st century.
Conductor Pablo González and the Sinfónica de Tenerife take the public on a thrilling journey from the murmur of water to the ceremonial roar of the land.
