Marianna Bednarska
Synopsis
The 2026 edition of the Festival de Música Contemporánea de Tenerife (Tenerife Contemporary Music Festival – FMUC) has scheduled a concert of Marianna Bednarska.
Marianna Bednarska is a young Polish percussionist. She is artistically active as a soloist, a performer of chamber and orchestral music and as a university teacher of percussion.
She was awarded at the 74th Geneva International Music Competition (2019), and she won the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes (2019) as well as 24 first prizes and special awards in international percussion competitions, including those held in Chicago (USA, 2016), Bamberg (Germany, 2016), Paris (France, 2009), Fermo (Italy, 2008), and Plovdiv (Belgium, 2007). She was a finalist of the Polish Eurovision competition ‘Young Musician of the Year 2009’. Since 2023, Marianna Bednarska has taught at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She is a Yamaha Artist and a Kolberg Mallet Artist.
Prior to the concert, there will be a performance of the students of the Higher Music Conservatory of the Canaries.
