West Side Story: Danzas sinfónicas
Concert A14 by the Sinfónica de Tenerife

23 May 19:30
Music/Sinfónica de Tenerife
 Auditorio de Tenerife (Symphony Hall)

Immerse yourself in Tchaikovsky’s Capriccio Italien, a work that captures the essence and colour of folkloric Italy with brilliant orchestration. This evening’s performance of the Sinfónica de Tenerife also includes Bartók’s Viola Concerto, a showcase for the viola’s deep emotivity and challenging technique in the hands of violist Timothy Ridout. The orchestra would also perform Bernstein’s West Side Story if that were not enough. Under the baton of conductor Nil Venditti, this concert promises to be a festival of sound and sensations.
