Paloma Muñoz’s production will be presented on Tuesday 7 July in the Symphony Hall, as part of MAPAS
Next Tuesday, 7 July, the Auditorio de Tenerife will host Paloma Muñoz’s company and its performance of La Quijá, where ten dancers return to origins and the body as the engine of creation to find poetry in movement. The show will be staged in the Symphony Hall at 7.30 p.m. as part of MAPAS 2026.
The piece by Paloma Muñoz opens with a devastated, rugged, dry landscape. The ten dancers undertake an inward journey to the substance in our bones, so dance may emerge from the marrow. It is a return to the collective body in search of a personal and shared encounter. The show is part of Cèl·lula, a project for producing, creating, and transmitting dance at the performing-arts centre Mercat de les Flors.
The performers on stage in the Symphony Hall are Edoardo Brovardi, Joan Ferré Gómez, Alejandro Fuster Guillén, Jacob Gómez Ruiz, Lara Misó Peinado, Paula Parra, Marta Santacatalina, Wilchaan Roy Cantù, Amanda Rubio and Blanca Tolsá.

The company toured internationally with DanceNet Sweden and received the 2022 Bern Dance Award.
