An independent choreographer and dancer, he is currently one of the most outstanding creators of dance in Spain. His discourse, developed while leading his own company founded in 2010 or with interesting collaborations for renowned national and international groups, such as the German company Sasha Waltz & Guests, is based on a marked interest in the most open nature of dance. After his training in flamenco, Spanish dance, ballet, and a significant career as a dancer in major companies, such as the Ballet Víctor Ullate, the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Lyon Opera Ballet or the Spanish National Dance Company, in 2009 he created his own company in pursuit of a creative identity through research in the field of movement and multidisciplinary collaboration; No Drama (2010), Ignoto (2011), Ojo (2012), Vaivén (2014), À L’espagnole, fantasía escénica (2015), Beautiful Beach (2015), Double Bach (2016), Presente (2018). As a close collaborator of Juan Kruz Díaz de Garaio Esnaola and Estévez-Paños Compañía, he participates as a choreographer in theatre productions by Andrés Lima and Miguel del Arco, as well as in the zarzuela El Barberillo de Lavapiés (2019) by Alfredo Sanzol. He collaborates in various projects of the Psico Ballet - Maite León Foundation. In 2020 he premieres Electra (2017) with the Spanish National Dance Company. His latest creations include Gugurumbé (2020) in collaboration with Fahmi Alqhai/Accademia del Piacere, Signos (2021) with violist Isabel Villanueva, In Paradisum (2021) with the Spanish National Dance Company, La Noche de San Juan (2021), an unpublished ballet by Roberto Gerhard co-produced by the Juan March Foundation and the Gran Teatro del Liceu, AÚN (2021), his first dance film in co-production with ELAMOR, or Pharsalia (2022) co-produced by the Teatros del Canal and the Museo Universidad of Navarra. The distinctions and awards that have shaped his trajectory include the 2018 National Dance Award in the Creation Category and the 2013 Spanish radio and television (RTVE) “Ojo Crítico” Dance Award.
