The Coro Juvenil de Auditorio de Tenerife was set up in May 2016 within the Learning and Community Area of Cabildo de Tenerife.
Directed by Roxana Schmunk, it includes choir singers aged 16 to 25.
In their second season, Coro Juvenil de Auditorio de Tenerife has a wide range of performances both at institutional and cultural events. They have already won the following prizes:
The following year, Coro Juvenil de Auditorio de Tenerife took three prizes at the VII Summer Choir Festival in Lisbon. In addition to coming first in the under 25 section and getting second prize in the Jazz, Gospel and Pop section, the jury decided to award Cristian Bartolomé a special prize for best soloist for his performance of Someone like you.
Professionals who have contributed to the training in voice technique and music interpretation of Coro Juvenil de Auditorio include artists like soprano Judith Pezoa, mezzo soprano Ana García de las Heras, and directors Dante Andreo, Nuria Fernández Herranz, Javier Busto, José Herrero and Paulo Vassalo Lourenço.
This choir fundamentally aims at being a complement to the choral activity on the Island and believes their members will benefit from a musical and personal pedagogic development.
