Estefanía Perdomo

Soprano

Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Estefanía Perdomo has a degree from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Las Palmas, where she got top marks. She studied with Mario Guerra León and did her postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Low Countries) with teachers Sasja Hunnego and Barbara Pearson. She also did a Master in Opera at the Dutch Opera Academy (Amsterdam) where she got top marks. She also has a degree in History from the Universidad de Las Palmas. 

She has given many concerts internationally including opera, early music, recitals, symphonic repertoire, contemporary music, etc. She has worked with orchestras like Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, Het Residentie Orkest, Noord- Holland Orkest, and La Principessa Filosofa among others, plus ensembles like Le Tendre Amour, Caldara Ensemble, El Vuelo de Ícaro, Musica Poetica, El Afecto Ilustrado, etc. She usually collaborates at Festival de Ópera de Las Palmas. Worth mentioning also are her two Japan tours performing Don Giovanni (Donna Anna) and La Bohème (Mimí); the revival of Albéniz’s opera The Magic Opal at the Auditorio Nacional; the world premiere of Mare Liberum, by composer Roel van Oosten in The Hague, Rotterdam, Delf and Hamburg (recorded in 2013 by Alliud); Monteverdi’s Vesperae and Ariadne et Barbe Bleu by Dukas in Amsterdam; Parsifal y Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona, Wagner’s Tanhäuser and Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville,  the world premiere of Beffa’s Nuit Mystique  in Toulouse, and Lothar Siemens’s opera El minuto de oro de KKTV in Las Palmas, etc.

With the Grupo Concertante Talía she performed Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the Requiems by Brahms and Mozart and Poulenc’s Gloria at the Auditorio Nacional. She took Second Prize at Concurso Internacional Ópera de Tenerife, released the CD Canciones de cámara españolas: 1801-1850 (SEDEM, 2016). Her 2018 highlights include her participation at the SENT- ME (Simposio Nuevas Tendencias en Música y Educación, Cocentaina), the “Serenissima” programme with El Afecto Ilustrado (La Palma), the role of Marola in Sorozábal’s La Tabernera del Puerto (Amigos Canarios de la Zarzuela, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), and the concert “La huella de Lothar Siemens” held at the Teatro Pérez Galdós. In 2019 she collaborated closely with pianist Nauzet Mederos (programmes “Melodías para el recuerdo” at the Museo de Bellas Artes in Santa Cruz de Tenerife; and “De mujer a mujer”, for the Sociedad Filarmónica de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria); the Stabat Mater de Pergolesi with the Orquesta Barroca de Tenerife (La Laguna), “Serenissima” with El Afecto Ilustrado in Pontevedra, La del manojo de rosas by Sorozábal, again with Amigos Canarios de la Zarzuela, the premiere of Ernesto Mateo’s cantata Montañas sagradas de Gran Canaria (OFGC, Auditorio Alfredo Kraus), and the role of Neptune in the opera attributed to Sebastián Durón Coronis (Los Músicos de Su Alteza, at  Madrid and Zaragoza Auditorios).
