Professor of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam
Born in La Orotava, Gustavo studied clarinet, composition and theory of music in the conservatories of Tenerife, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Specialized in analysis, harmony, arrangements and composition, he combines his creative activity with an incessant pedagogical activity, earning a solid reputation with his articles, lectures and informative talks. In 2017 he was named honorary musician of the Villa de La Orotava Chamber Music Festival. He currently lives in Amsterdam, is professor of music theory at the Amsterdam Conservatory, artistic advisor to the choral group PA’dam and lecturer, arranger and freelance composer.
