Javier Negrín made his debut at the Wigmore Hall in London in 2004, and since then has enjoyed a career as a soloist and chamber musician that has led him to play in important venues in Europe, South America and the Far East. Winner of important awards and a Junior Fellowship at the Royal College of Music in London, he has recently performed at the Cervantes Institutes of Tokyo and Beijing, at the International Black and White Festival in Mexico City, and at the National Auditorium in Madrid. With orchestras he has played with the Sinfónica Nacional de Cuba conducted by Gregorio Gutiérrez and at the Festival Internacional de Música de Canarias with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife and Yukka-Pekka Saraste. On the American label Odradek, Javier has recorded the Scriabin Travel Preludes and the CD TRACES, and the latter works by Granados and Mompou. Both recordings have received excellent reviews in national and international media.
