Juan Luis Bardón

Organist

Juan Luis Bardón was born in La Orotava (North Tenerife) in 1994. He started his musical training at the Academia Increscendo in this town, where he took the Elementary Grade specialising in piano to then finish his professional studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Despite the lack of organ studies in Tenerife, his interest took him to take the Curso Nacional de Organistas Litúrgicos in Valladolid (Spain), where he had masterclasses on improvisation and hand interpretation by renowned national organists like Juan de la Rubia. He has also taken part in several courses of the Academia de Órgano Fray Joseph de Echevarría, where he furthered his knowledge of performance with Montserrat Torrent, Roberto Fresco, Paolo Crivellaro or Bernhard Haas, among others. After finishing his degree in Art History from the University of La Laguna, he carried on his training in Granada, where he did professional organ studies with professor Juan María Pedrero, obtaining the Extraordinary award in professional education of Junta de Andalucía [Andalusian Government]. He also did a master in Musical Heritage at Granada University, where he carried out a research on the choral library at Parroquia Matriz de la Concepción in La Orotava.
