Morimoto Barroque Ensemble

This ensemble bases their work in historicist performance of early music. It is made up of three musicians resident in the Canary Islands: Satomi Morimoto, Raquel García Cabrera and Tomás López-Perea Cruz. On this occasion they are joined by Emiko Morimoto. Each of them has wide musical experience, specifically on early music. Their common passion for the music of these centuries is the reason why they decided to set up the ensemble as they have each carefully worked and studied the genre. The eternal search for sound, expression and historicist performance are the elements that brought these musicians together. The fact that there is an ensemble like this one in the Canary Islands has a value that is directly related to the effort involved in academic training here and the difficulty to find musicians who have had the chance to train properly and are able to present a programme like this one. Morimoto Baroque Ensemble is a group with a common motivation and goal: studying and seeking the satisfaction of doing something so specialised and wonderful.
