Since the 1950s, Sociedad Cervantina has undertaken and promoted countless cultural projects, and Imprenta del Quijote has become a cultural space focussed on furthering research and dialogue in relation to our classics while encouraging and promoting the development and expression of new Spanish talent. In this case: Director > Leticia Dolera: born in Barcelona, she is a Spanish actor, scriptwriter, cinema director and writer. She was awarded in the 2019 Cannes International Series Festival for Vida perfecta, in which she worked as the leading actor, creator and director, as well as sharing writing credits with Manuel Burque. She was the first person to win this award for a Spanish audiovisual production. Playwright > María Folguera: writer, playwright, stage director and cultural administrator. Specialising in creation and research in relation to writers, myth, authorship and canon, her work has focussed on figures such as Saint Teresa of Jesus, Cervantes, Emilia Pardo-Bazán and Elena Fortún. Actor > Celia Freijeiro: actor, producer and cultural administrator born in Galicia (Spain). She played the lead role in Taxi girl by María Velasco, which she co-produced in collaboration with Centro Dramático Nacional and Sociedad Cervantina. In theatre, she also played the lead in Los Cenci, which premiered at Teatro Español and was a finalist in the Premio Valle-Inclán theatre awards; El León en Invierno, directed by Juan Carlos Pérez de la Fuente and El Color de Agosto by Paloma Pedrero, which she also produced and was nominated for the Mayte and Premio Valle-Inclán theatre awards.
