The energy, passion, and connection offered by Tak Nara Percussion Group in its concerts are elements that have made this percussion group one of the most important on the national and international scene.
Since their debut in 2006, they have performed in numerous venues around the world, most notably at the PASIC in Indianapolis and the Universal Marimba & Chamber Music Competition in Belgium. They have also participated in important festivals such as International Percussion Ensemble Week (Croatia), Festival Internacional de Percussao Tomarimbando (Portugal), Festival Tamborimba (Colombia), and Festival de Música Contemporánea de Tenerife (Spain).
In 2009, the composer and percussionist N. J. Zivkovic created "Tak-Nara", a piece especially devoted to this group, that has become standard work within the repertoire for percussion quarters. Tak Nara Percussion Group is also committed to the dissemination and performance of new repertoire written by contemporary composers.
Its first CD, "Tak-Nara", won the National Prize for Youth Creation 2011, awarded by the Government of Spain. The group has also received other awards at the Universal Marimba & Chamber Music Competition (Belgium) and the International Chamber Music Competition Maria Oran (Spain).
Within the educational field, they have performed concerts and teaching shows at the international level in theatres, auditoriums and academic centres.
Currently, Tak Nara Percussion Group is an endorser of Adams Instruments, Innovative Percussion Artist and Southern Percussion.
