He began his musical studies at the Sociedad Musical Instructiva “Santa Cecilia” de Cullera (Valencia), and later at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia. He continued his studies with José Vicente Herrera, Alois Brandhofer, Thomas Friedly, Michele Carulli, Joan Enric Lluna and Walter Boykens. He was a collaborator of the Orquesta Municipal de Valencia. He was also the founding member of the “Poirot” clarinet quartet and the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Santa Cruz de Tenerife clarinet choir, with whom he won the 1st (1993) and 2nd (1994) prizes of the Concurso de música de cámara de Canarias. Since 1986, he has been a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife (soloist assitant) and since 1990, a clarinet teacher at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Tenerife, where he conducts the symphony orchestra of the institution.
