Violin

He is a performer, composer and teacher. As a viola player, he won the Lionel Tertis (United Kingdom), Fischoff (U.S.A.) and Aviv (Israel) competitions. He regularly performs as a soloist and a recitalist and is often invited to major European festivals. His arrangements of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations were recorded by Trío Garnati for Sony. His passion for combining performance, composition and improvisation has led him to accompany silent films. His first work for the record label NAXOS (music by Ramon Paus) was number 6 of NAXOS best-sellers the month it was launched. His viola and piano sonata will be premiered at Tokyo Opera House this year with Nobuko Imai and Izumi Tateno. He teaches in Switzerland and Spain and was the youngest teacher at Indiana University.
