The three weekend performances in the Auditorio de Tenerife theatre venue have sold out.

The Auditorio de Tenerife has scheduled three performances of Las pequeñas mudanzas for this weekend, with tickets now fully sold out. Las pequeñas mudanzas is a contemporary re-reading of Tirso de Molina’s Don Gil de las calzas verdes, written and directed by Vanessa Espín. The first Friday session at 7.30 p.m. ends with a public talk moderated by students of the Canary Islands Actors School, in collaboration with the Auditorio de Tenerife. The performances on Friday (May 1) and Saturday (May 2) will begin at 7.30 p.m., while the Sunday (May 3) performance will start at 12 noon.

Isabel Rodes, Elena González and Nora Hernández lead the cast in this story, which begins as Valeria falls into her own void. After a painful breakup, she returns to her mother’s home at nearly 50, ashamed of being a loser. Her problems overwhelm her, and her ghosts clamour to voice her fears. She worries she is going mad like her aunt Paca, or will end up alone and disgraced like her mother. But Valeria refuses to resign. She seeks what broke in her life and dives into her past, searching for the father she barely knew. She hopes to mend the broken parts of her life.

This co-production by the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico and ElenArtesescénicas features Vanessa Espín as director and playwright. As a playwright, her work focuses on creating an integral and harmonious vision of human beings at both social and personal levels. As an actress, she divides her efforts among direction, teaching, and writing.

The next offering from La Salita, Filtro, by La Dramática Errante, is scheduled for 15, 16 and 17 May. The tickets can be purchased at a single price of €8 and €5 for audiences under 30 on the website www.auditoriodetenerife.com, at the auditorium’s box office, or by dialling the phone number 902 317 327 from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
