The Auditorio de Tenerife ist hosting the show Vuela, by Sara Baras
As her company celebrates its 25th anniversary, Sara Baras wants to pay tribute to the guitar genius par excellence, Paco de Lucía. Through the respect, affection and love that they professed for one another, Vuela was created, a show made to be unforgettable, to transport us once again to the magical world that only Sara Baras can create.
On this occasion, taking on the responsibility of paying tribute to the genius from Algeciras, this choreographic journey is formed by 15 unique pieces, with each of them revolving around a word, thus creating, with our flamenco language, words in movement. A fascinating journey divided into four acts, each of which weaves a powerful narrative. Wood, which reminds us of the strength of roots, the quality of being. The sea invites us to navigate with passion and be like water.
Death is a way of exploring human emotions from the deepest depths. The flight is the only way of fleeing without running, just letting oneself be carried away by celebration and joy, an opportunity that only music, dance, and feelings can offer us.

MADERA (The Wood)
 “Carpenter of the chord,
 who gives meaning to life,
 who creates the way back,
 who seeks the outward lane,
the path is not the rhythm
 of a single creation,
it is your voice, it is your magic,
 in the form of inspiration,
it is your skin, it is your sap,
 it is perhaps a chimera
 locked between six strings
 tensed in wood”
 MAR (The Sea)
 “Salt kiss on the horizon
 that moves away upon waking
that is the sand of that mountain
that dreams of being the sea”
 MUERTE (Death)
 “Bells are already tolling,
 silence is already crying, the
 waves of the sea wander
 for your memory,
 the leaves pass over,
 this blanket of incense
which smells of love and purity,
which tastes of guitar and sleep, if
 while in life I live,
 while dead, I fly”.
 VOLAR (To fly)
 “Like a string rooted,
like my soul to the earth,
 memories are a thousand wars,
they are a thousand songs of you,
 I no longer suffer,
 although my soul hurts,
I have my father next to me
 teacher I have you here,
that is why I can feel,
that your heart flies within me”
